Firefighters continue their efforts following a severe weather event that primarily struck northern Piedmont. Operations are concentrated particularly between the provinces of Turin and Verbano-Cusio-Ossola: 130 units are active in the regional capital, completing 337 interventions. In the Verbano area, 30 firefighters are engaged, having completed 100 operations to clear mud and gravel from roads and basement premises.

Footage shows the retrieval of a car from the bed of the Anza stream in Macugnaga (VCO), which overflowed in multiple spots several days ago. Overnight, the North of the country experienced scattered showers and thunderstorms, notably affecting Lombardy, Veneto, and Emilia-Romagna. On July 3, there is a yellow alert in Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Umbria, much of Veneto, and parts of Lombardy, Abruzzo, Molise, Basilicata, and Calabria.
