Kingston, Jamaica - July 03, 2024

As Hurricane Beryl edges closer to Jamaica, the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has mobilized its officers to ensure safety and security across Kingston. In a video released by the JCF, officers armed with rifles can be seen patrolling the streets, emphasizing the urgency of staying indoors during the impending storm.

"Beryl's fury is temporary, but your record won't be! Stay indoors, we are protecting lives and also property," the JCF stated in their advisory.

Members of the St. Catherine South Special Operations Team have been deployed to various critical locations, including the Portmore Mall, to monitor and respond to any emergencies that may arise as the hurricane approaches.
