Mildenhall, United Kingdom - July 01, 2024

Senior Airman Kaleb Brewer of the 350th Air Refueling Squadron recently achieved a milestone in aerial operations as part of Project Magellan. On July 1, 2024, Brewer served as the boom operator during a remarkable 45-hour Maximum Endurance Operation involving a KC-46A Pegasus aircraft. Departing from McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas on June 29, the KC-46 embarked on a non-stop flight westward around the world, ultimately returning to McConnell on July 1.

During the mission, Brewer's KC-46 was refueled mid-air by a KC-135R Stratotanker, also from McConnell, while flying over the United Kingdom. This ambitious endeavor underscores the advanced capabilities and strategic importance of aerial refueling operations in modern military aviation.
