This is the endearing moment a shy bride laughed uncontrollably during the first kiss with the groom at their church wedding.

April Sison, 32, said she was delighted to marry her boyfriend of six years and childhood sweetheart Bar Sison, 30, but could not control her giggles when the priest asked them to do the ceremonial kiss in Puerto Princesa City, the Philippines, on June 22.

Footage shows April starting to have a laughing fit as her now-husband put up her veil. When the priest said, ‘The kiss should last for a minute,' the bride chuckled even more.

She said in between laughs: ‘I'm very shy.'

Her groom tried to calm her down, smiling with her and holding her arm, but whenever he moved his face closer for a kiss, April roared in laughter.

April said: ‘We do not do public displays of affection, so I'm really shy. I'm a Certified Public Accountant, and my husband is a Certified Public Account Lawyer.

‘We were best friends and schoolmates since college where we first met. We have been friends for more than a decade.'

The couple were able to do the first kiss afterwards. April said: ‘Our wedding was so smooth and happy, so I could not contain my joy during the first kiss.'
