Peruvian Naval Infantry marines recently engaged in vital underwater egress training (SWET) at Marine Corps Base Hawaii as part of Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024. This training, conducted on July 5, utilized a single-seat emergency egress trainer to familiarize participating forces with techniques for water submersion and emergency breathing devices.

RIMPAC 2024, the world's largest international maritime exercise, has drawn participation from 29 nations, involving 40 surface ships, three submarines, 14 national land forces, over 150 aircraft, and approximately 25,000 personnel. Held from June 27 to August 1 in and around the Hawaiian Islands, RIMPAC aims not only to provide extensive training opportunities but also to foster collaborative relationships crucial for maritime security and the protection of global sea lanes.
