Influencer travels to Tibet in 78 days and picks up five tonnes of rubbish along the way
These images show how an influencer travelled to Tibet in 78 days andpicked up five tonnes of rubbish along the away.
Travel influencer Xin Chenglong drove his camper van 2,300 kilometres (1,430 miles) from Dali, in Yunnan, all the way to Tibet, picking up rubbish during his trip.
He told local media on June 27 that he had been on the road for 78 days and that he had picked up about 550 bags of rubbish, totalling five tonnes of refuse.
Xin said he had prepared homemade, woven rubbish bags before his trip, but added that they had all been used up in about 20 days, so he had to buy more.
He said: 'I have been to Tibet many times before, and the scenery is very beautiful.'
But he said that in recent years, with more tourists, there had been more and more rubbish strewn along the way.
He said that he hopes that his action draws attention to the problem and that tourists will be more careful with their rubbish in future.
