STORYLINE:

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, and the beginning of the 2024-2025 China-Russia Years of Culture. 

Currently, both countries are hosting a series of cultural exchange activities.

In Harbin, the capital city of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, a musical was staged Monday at the Harbin Opera House by Chinese and international artists.

A total of 37 performers from China, Russia, Belarus, and other nations graced the stage, enchanting the audience with a mesmerizing performance of songs, dances, magic, and musical instruments.

"Our musical is called 'Sleeping Beauty in Frozen Castle,' which is jointly created by both Russian and Chinese actors. Russian actors account for at least 90 percent of the cast. Among these actors, there are both outstanding vocal actors and instrumental players. This musical drama particularly highlights the integration of Chinese and Russian cultures."
