We May Have FINALLY Found The Luka Doncic STOPPER...

Have we finally found the Doncic stopper? Lu Dort hounded Luka all over the court, tiring him down which resulted in these forced and contested stepbacks. Look at this, heâs literally glued to him, everywhere you go I go as well. Doncic had a rough shooting night to say the least, as he went 1 for 8 from downtown, thatâs only 12.5% and a total of 6 for 19 from the field. Even on the rare occasions when he scored, he had to work pretty hard just to get the shot off. But, Lukaâs struggles didnât end there, as he turned the ball over 5 times, awarding the Thunder some easy transition points. Doncic finished the game with a modest statline of 19 points and 9 assists. This reminded me of the absolute horror that Lu caused on Brandon Ingram in the previous series.
However, the Mavs were right in this thing, as they used this 9-0 run early in the 3rd quarter to cut the halftime deficit to just 1 point.
But, right out of the timeout OKC responded with a bang. They went on a 14-4 run blitzing the Mavs with stifling defense and a 3PT barrage.
SGA was the main offensive weapon for the Thunder in this period, as he scored 10 of his 29 points total, to go along with 9 boards and 9 assists. It was all business for him in this game, as he got to his usual spots, snaking through the defense and when he saw an open teammate, he made the right play. Itâs really stunning to see a 25 year old being so mature both on and off the court as well.
In the 4th OKC continued sharing the ball and finding the best possible shots, as first we saw Chet doing some damage on Dallas, firing up the home crowd.
And then, it was J Dubâs turn to deliver the final blow, as he scored 10 consecutive points for the Thunder to make it a 17 point game and send the arena into a frenzy.
On the other side, Kyrie tried to keep the Mavs in the game during the 2nd half scoring 14 points, but it was too little too late, as OKC took a 1-0 lead and I gave this one a 6.0 on RateGame, as much as a 22 point win can get really.
Moving on to Boston where the Celtics took control of the game right from the start, despite their top dog not really showing up in this one. At least scoring wise.
Tatum started the game settling for contested shots, and tough threes, going 4 for 12 in the first half. Now Jaylen Brown however, he definitely showed up.
Brown was hail bent on getting to the rim and to his spots for some easy shots, and boy he was unstoppable.
By halftime, he already had 20 points and it was clear that Jaylen decided that he was going to punish the matchup.
The Celtics had a 10 point lead pretty much throughout the entire game, up until the 4th quarter when they really stepped on the gas pedal.
The lead quickly ballooned to 20 and put the game away as there wasnât any doubt at any point in this one honestly.
Just think about it: The main weapon is having a bad shooting game going 7 for 19 from the field for just 18 points and the team is coasting to a playoff win. Sure, he did other things like grabbing 11 rebounds and 5 assists, but also Jaylen Brown took on the scoring load and finished with 32 points. Then, guys like Derrick White also coming up huge in the second half for 25 points overall, and even Payton Pritchard dropping 16 points, this team is far too superior for the Cavs in this matchup and Iâm afraid that the following games could look similar to this one.
Now, if I donât expect any surprises here, on the contrary I was shocked by what happened in game 2 between Minnesota and Denver, where Anthony Edwards once again did things that made him look exactly like MJ, and after this, heâs never beating the allegations.
You gotta check out exactly what happened right here. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.
