A runaway jet ski caused a scare when its rider, who was not wearing a kill switch, got off to retrieve a shoe in the water.

The idling jet ski suddenly took off at full throttle, heading towards a friend's boat. Quick-thinking, the boat owner ran towards the jet ski and shoved it away, preventing it from hitting the boat's motor. The jet ski ultimately landed on shore.

Remarkably, there were no injuries to the jet ski rider, the boat owner, or the boat.

Rider of jet ski was not wearing kill switch, when it was idling he got off jet ski to retrieve his shoe in the water and it took off full throttle. We saw it heading towards my friends boat when he ran towards it and shoved it to divert it from hitting his motor and it landed on shore. The rider of the jet ski, the boat owner and the boat were all fine no injuries!
