China: Man's Neck Saved from Fishing Hook Near Major Artery in Dazhou

In a harrowing incident in Dazhou, Sichuan, a man recently found himself in a perilous situation when a fishing hook accidentally snagged his neck, perilously close to a major artery. Desperate for help, he rushed to a nearby fire station for assistance. Responding swiftly, firefighters delicately removed the hook due to its proximity to the artery and depth of penetration. After a tense operation lasting nearly 5 minutes, they successfully cut off the protruding part of the hook and provided basic disinfection of the wound before advising the man to seek further medical treatment at a hospital.
