China and Laos on Monday conducted a live-fire combat drill featuring multiple types of weapons and experience exchanges in the ongoing Friendship Shield-2024 joint military exercise in Laos.

The drill involved subjects such as automatic rifle shooting in various postures, precise pistol shooting and tactical shooting with special sniper rifle.

At the training ground for light weapons, Chinese instructors demonstrated different types of guns and gave detailed explanations to the participating soldiers from both countries.

To improve the actual combat capabilities of the participating soldiers, the shooting drill was also conducted on military vehicles. Officers and soldiers of both sides exchanged views on how to improve shooting accuracy and decide which type of gun to use in different situations.
