United States: Drunk Woman Attempts to Fuel Car During Traffic Stop
Marion County, FL, USA - July 08, 2024
A routine traffic stop in the 14800 block of S Highway 441 took a bizarre turn when Sergeant Moore apprehended Christina Bermudez for erratic driving and speeding, reaching speeds exceeding 100 MPH. Bermudez, seemingly oblivious to the traffic stop, pulled into a gas station and began to fuel her vehicle.
Sergeant Moore and Deputy McEldowney quickly noted signs of impairment, prompting a DUI investigation that confirmed Bermudez's condition. She was promptly arrested and transported to jail, where a breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol concentration of .191, more than twice the legal limit. Additionally, Bermudez refused to sign the DUI citation.
