Cabbie almost swallowed up by sinkhole in China
Footage shows how a cabbie in China was almost swallowed up by a massive sinkhole that appeared in the middle of the road as a result of heavy rainfall.
Heavy rain caused the road to collapse, leading to a taxi hanging on the edge of a deep pit in Yuncheng, in Shanxi Province, in China, on July 6.
The front wheel of the passenger side of the vehicle was left dangling over the pit, leaving the rest of the vehicle perched precariously on the edge.
An eyewitness named in local media reports as Mr Zhang said that the taxi driver, who has not been named, was unharmed in the incident.
The taxi has been removed from the dangerous position, and the collapsed area has been secured with a fence, according to local media.
