China: Man Caught Smuggling 104 Live Snakes through Futian Port to China

Customs officials at Futian Port intercepted a male traveler attempting to enter the country with 104 live snakes concealed in his pants pockets. The incident occurred on July 6 at the immigration hall, where customs officers grew suspicious and conducted a thorough inspection.

Upon inspection, officers discovered six canvas bags sealed with tape inside the man's pants pockets. Upon opening them, they found a total of 104 live snakes. The snakes, identified as milk snakes, western hognose snakes, corn snakes, Texas rat snakes, and bull snakes, included species classified as invasive.
