This is the floody heck moment when a storm cloud unleashes every drop of rain it is carrying in one spot, devastating a neighbourhood in Brazil.
The intense downpour in Sao Lui Gonzaga, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, left over 1,200 properties damaged as thousands of litres poured down on 15th June.

Streetcam CCTV footage shows how the streets went from bone dry to flooded within seconds.

In the clip, a car and a motorcycle are seen waiting for traffic lights to change, but by the time they are green the streets are awash.
As the intensity increases, it is impossible to see from one side of the street to the other as winds whip up the storm.

Local media said that the rain ended in less than a minute, and despite the short burst, more than 1,200 properties were damaged, leaving 400 people homeless.

Experts explained that the city had been hit by a microstorm, or microexplosion, which happens when a cloud is so heavy with rain that it can no longer retain it.
