Couple marry and have a baby after meeting in first grade
A couple who met in first grade reunited 10 years later - and are now happily married with a baby.
Jamesia, 21, and Cayden Stapp, 22, first met in the same grade class aged six and seven.
She said she had a "big crush" on her classmate but said she used to "freak" shy Cayden out by being "extroverted". "
The pair then separated for the rest of school before reuniting in sophomore year - aged 15 and 16.
This time they hit it off immediately and were "inseparable" and got engaged after just one year together."
Jamesia and Cayden, who is in the airforce, tied the knot five days after their graduation - in June 2021 - and welcomed a baby boy together, Easton, now five months old in January this year.
The couple couldn't be happier and say their marriage is like a fairytale.
Jamesia, a stay-at-home mum, living in Fort Walton, Florida, US said: "I had a big crush on him."
"I was an extroverted kid. I was shy. I used to freak him out. I always wanted to do projects together."
"On the first day of sophomore year I got to photoshop class. We had assigned seats."
"I looked in front and thought this kid looks really familiar."
"I grabbed his name tag and said 'OMG Kayden Stapp'. He replied 'I remember you'."
"We were inseparable from then."
Cayden said: "When we re-met in high school that was different. But she made the first move. It was super sweet."
"It's more special now. Not many people can say they have a story like this."
"I love being a dad. I love our family."
After meeting as kids, the pair drifted apart when they were no longer in the same classes and Cayden moved to another school for middle school.
Jamesia said: "He was my first crush."
"I thought he'd moved away. I always thought about him. I wondered where he was."
"The summer before sophomore year I had my heart torn apart. I said 'God can you find me a good boyfriend."
"I was a hopeless romantic."
When they both ended up in the same class again ten years later in 2018 they hit it off - doing everything together.
Two weeks later Cayden asked Jamesia to be his girlfriend.
She said: We were so obviously smitten. It makes me giddy."
A year later Cayden decided to pop the question in September 2019.
Jamesia said: "We went to Austin for the day. He took me to this park we used to go to in the midst of our teenage angst."
"He was so nervous. He said 'I know we're really young but I want to marry you one day. I want to propose to you now.'"
"I said absolutely."
"Back then it was crazy but I'm so glad."
The couple waited until they finished school to tie the knot and married on June 18, 2021.
Jamesia said: "We had a small ceremony. We wanted it to be super personal."
"It was beautiful"
"Ever since it's been amazing."
"I still have butterflies."
The couple enjoyed the next few years together before deciding they wanted to start a family.
Jamesia said: "We love each other so much I didn't want to share the love at first."
"But then there was a desire to express that and start a family."
They welcomed little Easton on January 24, 2024 weighing 6lbs 2oz.
Jamesia said: "He's an awesome kid."
"Easton is head strong. He's silly like his dad and he'd got my determination."
"It's so cute to see both our personalities in him."
The couple don't regret getting married young at all and feel their relationship is like a "fairytale"."
Jamesia said: "It feels magical and electric."
"No one would ever have thought we'd be the ones to get married."
"That honeymoon phase never went away."
