A routine rideshare trip took an unexpected turn for Fifth Precinct Officers of the Minneapolis Police Department when they responded to a report of an unusual passenger: a boa constrictor discovered in the backseat of a car.

The startling encounter unfolded when a rideshare driver alerted authorities to the uninvited reptilian guest. Showing remarkable composure, officers swiftly intervened and safely extricated the boa constrictor from the vehicle. Despite efforts to contact the snake's owner, they were unable to establish contact, prompting the decision to transfer the snake into the care of Animal Control.

Thankfully, the incident concluded without harm to the snake, officers, driver, or any passengers involved. Authorities reassured the public that proper protocols were followed to ensure everyone's safety throughout the encounter.
