Jude has shared footage of himself doing everything in his power to assist the police with tackling the intense fire that broke out on Portobello Street, as they waited for the firefighters to arrive.

"I was in the back of an Uber driving home after a night out in Edinburgh when we spotted a large fire that had started and was spreading up a large wooden door," Jude revealed to WooGlobe. "My Uber driver got out and attempted to pull away some sort of fabric. As the fire was getting out of control, I called 999. The police arrived first, but my Uber driver, two other civilians, and I started banging on doors.

"The police made their entry as I helped them get people out of the flat next to the burning building. Luckily, nobody was directly above the door that was now fully engulfed in flames."

Jude added that 10 minutes after they got the area cleared, the firefighters arrived and put out the fire.
