OceanX, a 16.6-MW floating offshore wind power platform, was officially unveiled on Friday in south China's Guangdong Province.
The typhoon-resistant wind power platform is developed by Mingyang Smart Energy Group Co., Ltd., a new energy company headquartered in Zhongshan City in the province.
According to the company, the platform is capable of producing 54 million kWh annually once in operation.
