This buffalo is found in North Toraja, South Sulawesi, Indonesia.
In video footage taken on July 11, 2024, the buffalo looks calm.
It is known that the Toraja tribe highly sacred and purifies the buffalo animal, for the Toraja tribe the buffalo becomes a sacrifice at a death party called Rambu Solo', which sacrifices tens to hundreds of buffalo as a form of final respect for the family of the deceased.
