"Hello everyone. My name is Nguyen. I come from Vietnam. Today I go to the Rice Noodles Museum in Guangxi to visit. I invite you to go inside to see what's inside."

The Rice Noodles Museum in south China's Nanning was set up by a local manufacturer and is dedicated to introducing and protecting the culture of Guangxi's rice noodles.

The museum tells the history, development and cooking skills of the noodles through text, pictures and models. Visitors can learn how to make rice noodles here.

"You see there're a lot of rice noodles here. From what you can see, this is Guilin rice noodles. And this is Liuzhou's (snail) rice noodles. I often eat this noodle at restaurants in Nanning. This noodle is very delicious. So I often invite my friends go to eat this."

Rice noodles originated during the Qin Dynasty (221-207 BC) and have been consumed for more than 2,000 years in China.

The rice noodle-making techniques in Guilin have been added to China's national intangible cultural heritage list.

"Now I try to eat this traditional rice noodle in Guangxi. Wow, this rice noodle is very delicious. I feel this kind of noodle is similar to (what we have) in Vietnam. I often eat this because it has a lot of healthy food (ingredients) inside."

"China is a top country which produces rice. To the Chinese people and (people) around the world, it's a kind of incredible and fantastic crop. Today I experienced this (food) for the first time. And it really tastes so good. We learned Chinese tradition, Chinese culture, and how the Chinese government and Chinese are good at keeping their ancient things in a very safe way. So it's really appreciable."

"It's the first time I myself do this traditional noodle in Guangxi. I feel it's very happy and attractive to do this kind of noodle. This noodle is very similar to Vietnamese noodle. I feel that Nanning is a wonderful place for me to study and to research about the businesses in China. I can go around China to look for (business) partners or factories. So I can help Vietnamese enterprises to know what to bring here and what opportunities (there are) for them to do business with China."
