USA: Sepulveda Basin Large Brushfire in Encino

07/12/2024 11:16 pm (GMT-0700) | ENCINO, LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a reported vegetation fire in the Sepulveda Basin near Woodley, south of Burbank. Firefighters initially encountered two separate fires that eventually merged. Previous dozer lines, aimed at preventing future fires from spreading, aided in containing the blaze. Approximately two acres were burned. LAFD is currently engaged in mop-up operations.
