USA: Firefighters Battle 2 Acre Brush Fire Near LA Zoo in Griffith Park
Los Angeles, United States - July 14, 2024
07/14/2024 02:28 am (GMT-0700) | GRIFFITH PARK, LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Fire Department received a report of a large brush fire that could be seen from the 134 Freeway near Victory Boulevard. Firefighters had to drive up Griffith Park Drive and into the park to make access to the brush. Upon arrival. they found heavy brush with fire. The fire was upgraded to a brush with a total of two acres on fire.
LAFD requested the assistance of LAFD Air Ops and ground units to combat the fire. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is currently unknown
LAFD Air Ops made several water drops to stop the fire from spreading. Firefighters can also be seen hiking up the hill to fight the flames.
