A chimpanzee named Dongdong helped a visitor retrieve a dropped phone in a wildlife park in eastern China.

The video was filmed in Rongcheng City in Shandong Province on July 13.

Eyewitnesses reported that a tourist accidentally dropped their phone into the chimpanzee enclosure. Fearing the phone would be damaged, the visitor was understandably anxious.

However, in an unexpected turn of events, Dongdong, the chimpanzee, noticed the fallen phone. He gently picked up the phone and carefully placed it into a basket lowered by the zookeepers.

Dongdong even held the basket steady with his forelimbs, completing the return process with care.

Dongdong, a 14-year-old star of Xixiakou Zoo, is well-known for his intelligence and friendliness. According to zoo staff, he has helped retrieve various items for visitors and keepers, including stuffed toys and shoes.

Dongdong is beloved by visitors and frequently interacts with them by waving and clapping, showcasing his high emotional intelligence and affinity for humans.
