A seemingly ordinary box truck transformed into a luxurious restaurant within minutes in northern China.

Incredible video filmed in Hulunbuir City in Inner Mongolia on July 13 shows the rear doors of the truck's container slowly opening to reveal a spacious staircase, alongside a sign indicating a restaurant.

Within moments, the sides of the container swiftly unfolded, forming the roof and walls of what appeared to be a house. In just a few minutes, the truck transformed into a lavish restaurant capable of seating 20 tables, resembling a culinary Transformer.

This mobile banquet vehicle is owned by a local professional operator specialising in such services. Ms Zhang, the proprietor, shared that she and her husband have been running the banquet truck business for three years, catering primarily to rural banquets and corporate team-building events.

The interior of the truck is fully equipped with dining facilities, electronic screens, sound systems, air conditioning, and even a small stage for performances, meeting a variety of banquet needs.

Zhang mentioned that the banquet truck is highly popular, with bookings already lined up until September. She revealed that the standard model, accommodating 20 tables, measures 15 metres in length and 12 metres in width, priced at 390,000 yuan.

Additional features such as air conditioning and electronic screens can be added for an extra cost. Despite the significant investment, the convenience and practicality of the banquet truck have positioned it favourably in the rural market.

According to staff from a banquet truck manufacturer in Inner Mongolia, these innovative and convenient dining solutions are gaining popularity as living standards rise and consumer preferences evolve.

They noted a steady stream of orders from regions including Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Hebei, reflecting the widespread appeal of these transformative banquet vehicles in the market.
