With the two-time championship, Argentina is now the team with the most Copa America titles, 16, one more than Uruguay and seven ahead of Brazil, who are third with nine. Between them, they have won 40 of the 48 editions played. The other eight are shared between two from Chile, Paraguay and Peru, and one each from Bolivia and Colombia. Venezuela, Ecuador and the rest of the occasional guests since 1993 have never won it.
