A Pakistani economist hailed China's people-centered approach in an interview with Xinhua, underlining that it ensures Chinese people's strong sense of fulfillment and happiness.

"The way you were talking about is 'of the people, for the people.' That's what the Chinese have proven themselves.
China is able to basically bring out 800 million people out of poverty. If you look at the percentage of the population, 800 million is a very large number. Nobody has done that in such a short period. 
Look at today's China. It is prosperous. It is strong. It has an international stature as a country. 
As a Chinese citizen, what is your happiness? How the country is taking care of your happiness? You have a country which has held the Olympics. You have a country which is holding an expo also. You have a country which is becoming an international center. Look at Shenzhen. Look at Beijing. They are becoming the center of international global innovation hubs. Whatever Chinese are achieving, they are achieving as Chinese people.
If you're a Chinese, what do you desire? You desire, I need to have economic opportunity. I need to have educational opportunities. I need to have my healthcare. You need to have safety and security in the country. The Chinese government is basically giving you all those things.
So it means that when Chinese are happy inside, Chinese are happy outside. So they are basically contributing on human development, human growth and human happiness."
