However, a U.N.-funded project in Senegal is providing them with a viable alternative. The U.N.-funded initiative aims to address the root causes of this migration by creating sustainable job opportunities and improving living conditions in Senegal. By offering training and support for local businesses, the project seeks to provide young men with reasons to stay and contribute to their communities, reducing the desperation that fuels dangerous migration attempts.
