USA: Sawtelle Greater Alarm Commercial Fire

07/17/2024 12:30 am (GMT-0700) | SAWTELLE, LOS ANGELES – LAFD responded to reports of smoke in the area of 2100 South Bundy Drive.
When crews arrived on scene, they located light smoke coming from a one-story commercial building.

KNOCKDOWN Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#0026; 01:51AM; 2100 S Bundy Dr; https://bit.ly/3LqUtQ3; #Sawtelle; Firefighters arrived to find smoke showing from a one-story commercial building. For a portion of the fire, crews mounted an offensive attack, however as the fire quickly grew and put the structural components of the building under intense heat, firefighters retreated into the defensive mode and fought the fire from the exterior only. Ultimately, it took over 100 firefighters 81 minutes to fully extinguish the flames. No reported injuries.
