Staff members rescued animals from a flooded zoo amid the heavy rain in northern China.

The video was filmed in Baoji City in Shaanxi Province on July 16.

Responding swiftly, the zoo activated its emergency protocols, immediately evacuating small animals to safety away from the flood threat. Meanwhile, faced with significant flooding inside cages housing large predators, staff bravely ventured into enclosures, placing sandbags and constructing elevated platforms to provide them a safer refuge.

Despite these efforts, some animals tragically perished in the downpour. According to zoo personnel, birds such as pheasants were among those lost.

The zoo is fully focused on handling the aftermath of the casualties and providing care and comfort to injured animals.

然而，尽管救援行动及时有效，但仍有部分动物在暴雨中不幸遇难。据动物园工作人员透露，一些禽类动物如珍珠鸡在洪水中淹死，令人痛心不已。目前，动物园方面正在全力做好遇难动物的善后处理工作，并对受伤动物进行救治和安抚。
