An official farewell party was held for Palestinian athletes before they left for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The brief activity was organized by the Palestinian Olympic Committee and the French Consulate General in Jerusalem at the French Cultural Center in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

A swimmer representing the Palestinian sports delegation expressed her happiness at participating in the event.

This is Palestine's eighth historical participation in the Olympics, with eight athletes competing in six events, including running, boxing, and swimming. It is also the largest participation in the history of Palestine.

President of the Palestinian National Olympic Committee Jibril Rajoub said the Palestinian athletes will still play on the stage of Olympics for justice despite challenges facing their people.
