A customer was shocked when he found worms crawling through cartons of milk he ordered online and had delivered.

Gajender Yadav said he bought 32 boxes of buttermilk online which was delivered more than a week later in Mumbai, India, on July 17.

However, Gajender said he was horrified to find the tiny white worms crawling all over the package.

Footage shows the milk cartons packaged together in cardboard and plastic which was infested with worms.

He said in a letter he sent to Amul, the company that manufactured the milk brand: ‘I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction after finding worms in the buttermilk I recently purchased.'

Gajender added the ‘buttermilk emitted a putrid odour'.

He said Amul promised they would replace the product and apologised with the company's Gujarat office head calling him.

He said: 'They assured me that they are taking this matter very seriously.'
