STORYLINE:

Max and Noelia, a Mexican couple, have been documenting their travels across China on YouTube.

During a recent visit to Guilin, a renowned tourist destination in south China's Guangxi, they shared how they were impressed by China's remarkable development in recent years.

"My name is Max, and I'm Noelia's husband. And also we're partners on YouTube. We create content about China. And we travel across the country, just looking for interesting experiences.
The first time I came, it was in 2006 for I think it was like a month. It was a very interesting experience and I wanted to see some more because we like to travel around and see different places.
We like living in China. I mean, it's different everywhere you go. Like, every city has its own stuff. 
Because the first time I came was in 2006. It's impressive to see how much the country has developed in such a short time. For me, that's really amazing. And I also love showing off to my fans, like, how much it has developed.
We started making these videos to show them what our lives were really like. And they also realize there's a very different side to China and to life than what they saw. And I think that's very important to have the perspective of one person in the real life and show the real life as it is in real time. I think our fans now have a very different perspective of what China is nowadays."

"We have seen a growing interest in the Latin American population towards China. It's not all because of us, but we did realize that a lot of people are watching our videos there, and also young people. And they are getting interested in the language, in exploring China and coming to all of these places we have shown them."
