Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel - July 19, 2024

Yemen's Houthi group has claimed responsibility after an explosion rocked downtown Tel Aviv in the early hours of Friday, killing one person and injured 10 others.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the blast was triggered by a drone strike, yet the air defense did not respond to the attack, and no sirens were activated.

Multiple buildings were hit and damaged during the attack, and the affected areas have been cordoned by the police.

Witnesses said the explosion rocked the surrounding ground as smoke filled the air.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
