TEDx Johannesburg on Thursday partnered with the United Nations (UN) and the Nelson Mandela Foundation to organize an event at the Gordons Institute of Business and Science to mark the Nelson Mandela International Day.
Also known as Mandela Day, the day is celebrated each year on July 18, Mandela's birthday.
This year's Mandela Day was celebrated under the theme: "It's still in our hands to combat poverty and inequity."
