STORYLINE:

Three postal trucks loaded with consumer goods departed from Horgos in northwest China's Xinjiang on Friday, heading for Kazakhstan. 

This marks the launch of a direct postal service line between the two countries under the Belt and Road Initiative.

The ePacket service, co-operated by China Post and Kazakh postal operator Kazpost, aims to meet the demand for cross-border delivery of small and lightweight items, facilitating cross-border e-commerce trade between China and Kazakhstan.

"The launch of the ePacket special line to Kazakhstan will greatly improve the efficiency of cross-border e-commerce logistics at the Horgos Port, reducing the full delivery time from 25 days to 12 days. Working together with Kazpost, we aim to serve the export logistics market in Central Asia, Russia, and other European countries and regions."

"China Post has introduced the ePacket special line to Kazakhstan, which will provide faster and more reliable delivery services for Kazakh consumers. This initiative aims to boost international mail transport volumes for both China and Kazakhstan."
