Monkey rummages through piles of paperwork in office in India
A wild monkey caused chaos rummaging through piles of paperwork in an office in India.
Footage shows the primate perched on the table and scattering documents across a government office in Uttar Pradesh on July 20.
A worker offered it a peeled banana which it ignored and continued making a mess.
The other employees continued with their work while others tried to take the paper before one of their colleagues guided the wild animal outside.
Saharanpur's District Magistrate Deepak Kumar said: ‘The monkey is a frequent visitor. We informed the forest department about it.'
Officials estimated that there are more than 50 million wild monkeys in India. Deforestation and urbanisation have caused a rise in the number of conflicts with humans.
