Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel - July 19, 2024

Houthi group's military operations against Israel are escalating, announced by Houthi forces at a large-scale gathering in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Friday.

Earlier in the day, Houthi group said it launched a drone attack toward a vital target in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, the group's military spokesperson Yahya Sarea said in a televised statement.

The operation was carried out with a new drone called Yaffa, capable of bypassing enemy interception systems and successfully hit the target, Sarea said in the statement, which was aired by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV.

Analysts pointed out that the Houthi attack on Tel Aviv has once again escalated the situation in the Middle East and will adversely affect the future direction of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Currently, the international community, led by the United Nations, is striving to bring peace to both the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the Yemen issue, aiming to facilitate all parties' return to the negotiating table and end the war as soon as possible. However, the escalation of this situation may introduce additional complexities to the prospects for peace.

A huge popular demonstration was also staged at Al-Sabeen Square, the largest public square in Sanaa, on the same day. Similar demonstrations took place in over 70 squares across various Yemeni provinces. These demonstrations express solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemn the alleged crimes committed by the Israeli army against Palestinian civilians, supported by the United States.
