Doctors and nurses with the 22nd Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent to Lebanon offered emergency treatment to an injured Indonesian peacekeeper on Friday.

On Friday afternoon, an Indonesian peacekeeper suffered a tire explosion while inflating a tire, causing confusion of consciousness and bleeding from the head.

After the injured soldier was transferred to the medical contingent known as "Chinese Hospital", the doctors and nurses on duty immediately initiated rescue procedures. After more than 40 minutes of emergency treatment, the vital signs of the injured soldier recovered smoothly.

Since its deployment to the peacekeeping mission area in December 2023, the medical contingent has treated more than 1,700 patients and successfully completed a number of joint rescue drills.
