Four young men were successfully rescued by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) from northern India's Uttarakhand.

The incident took place in Kosi River in the Nainital district on July 21.

Visuals showed how using rope equipment the rescue team rescued the stranded individuals one by one bringing them back to safety.

Speaking to Newslions, SDRF Constable, Uttarakhand, Vinit Vaibhav mentioned the group had ventured into the river and became stranded when heavy rain caused the water level to rise.

Upon receiving a distress call, the SDRF, led by Inspector Rajesh Joshi, swiftly mobilized with necessary rescue equipment. They coordinated with local police to launch a joint rescue operation. Using advanced river-crossing techniques, the team safely brought the stranded individuals to a secure location.

The four rescued individuals are: Shivam Jayswal, 20, from Dwarka, Delhi; Vivek Bisht, 12, from Dhari Khairani, Betalghat; Vipanshu Rawat, 20, from Dwarka, Delhi; Rohit Bisht, 18, from No Village, Kakrighat, Bhuwali.

The SDRF team involved in the operation included Inspector Rajesh Joshi and other personnel, demonstrating their commitment and efficiency in emergency situations.
