The Tour Defense 2000 tower is the tallest residential building in France. This tower is located in the La Défense district, in the town of Puteaux, Paris suburb.

The heights of our cities teem with life and activity, sometimes surprising. In Puteaux, the Défense 2000 tower, the tallest residential building in Europe, looks down on the city from very high up.

They are hardly visible on a daily basis, the one on the ground floor. However, men and women move every day, to find accommodation, work or have fun, in the heights of our cities.

Total, First, Areva… The La Défense district is known for its skyscrapers, among the tallest in France. One of them, however, stands out.
Slightly out of the way, about ten minutes on foot from the Grande Arche, in the territory of the town of Puteaux (Hauts-de-Seine), it is not like the others.

If, from the top of its 136 meters and 47 floors, the Défense 2000 tower can look its neighbors in the eye, it is in reality a residential building. As soon as we arrive at its foot, we understand that the atmosphere no longer has anything to do with the transhumance of suits and tailoring seen a few moments earlier. A quiet neighborhood, some green spaces and... children's cries coming from the nursery school which occupies the ground floor of the building.

You have to climb a few steps to find yourself in front of the entrance to the impressive building. The size of the structure makes the reception more like a bunker than a caretaker's lodge.
