A motorcycle rider swerved to avoid a bull wandering across a road while performing dangerous stunts with a kid in India.

The reckless motorist stood on the seat of his moving two-wheeler and sat down clumsily - while a little boy sat in front of him - before encountering the farm animal in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, on July 17.

Footage shows the motorcycle rider without a helmet accelerating towards the bull before making a turn to avoid it.

The youngster on his front held onto the handlebars while the adult was doing tricks on the road.

Uttar Pradesh and Sitapur Police said they are now looking for the man to question him about the video.

In India, devout locals follow Hindu customs, with cows regarded as sacred animals that cannot be eaten or slaughtered once they have stopped producing milk. The majority of states ban the sale or slaughter of cows.

Instead of dealing with the economic burden of keeping their spent cattle, many farmers let the beasts roam the streets - leading to chaos when the animals become agitated and turn their fury on humans.
