Due to the rapid rise in the water level of Kosi river in Bihar, flood water has entered the houses in many villages of Saharsa district, disrupting the normal life of the people.

According to local administration reports, due to incessant rains in northern Bihar and Nepal, the water level of Kosi river has increased, causing flood situation in many villages.

Due to heavy rains, many rivers in many districts of Bihar have reached the danger mark. Apart from the river, rivers like Mahananda, Bagmati, Kamla and Gandak have also crossed the danger mark.

Every year the monsoon season brings floods in the state.
