This is the hilarious moment a mother toppled backwards from her inflatable ring.

Abigail De Guzman witnessed the comical mishap her mum, Josie De Guzman, 54, experienced in the pool in Pangasinan, the Philippines, on July 14.

Footage shows the woman positioning herself to sit on the donut float.

As she pushed back, she overturned and backflipped into the water, losing her balance.

She then quickly grabbed onto the float and swam towards the metal ladder.

This prompted her daughter to burst into laughter.

Abigail said: 'The video was actually meant for taking some photos of my mom to upload on her social media. Accidentally, I pressed the video button while chatting with my mom, and this happened.'
