STORYLINE:

The 2024 Tianjin International Children's Culture and Art Festival kicked off on Monday in north China's Tianjin Municipality. 

Held under the theme of "Peace, Friendship, and Future," the festival attracted over 50 children's art troupes from 40 countries and regions, including the United States, Egypt, and France.

Participants said that the event helps to promote cultural exchange.

"China's dancing culture is different than Egypt's culture. If they mix together, and people see wow, lucky, I enjoy watching Chinese culture. I'm watching Egypt culture. I'm watching different countries' cultures. So that is very good. It gives other people, it gives their youths very big experience."

"I really like Chinese culture. I think it's very impressive. I also think I want to learn more about it. And, of course, it will inspire me to do many things."

"I hope that, through this event, children from different countries can come together as one big family, united in love and joy."

"We set up this platform to enable children in China to communicate with children from abroad. After returning home, they (children from abroad) will serve as friendly ambassadors for exchanges between China and their own countries."

The festival runs until July 26.
