On July 13, 2024, tourists visiting the famous Kan'erjing Folk Custom Park in Turpan, Xinjiang, northwestern China, were in for a surprising treat.

Among the wax figures, a young staff Yusufu Eli Ömer dressed in traditional ethnic attire convincingly posed as a statue himself, sitting quietly on a sofa in the exhibition hall.

Most Chinese visitors mistook him for an actual wax figure until he suddenly made scary faces or greeted them, causing startled reactions and laughter once they realized the ruse.

Due to his incredibly realistic acting, he has become an internet sensation in China recently.

One of the staff noted that some foreign visitors have recorded him not blinking for almost four minutes and remaining motionless for an extended period.

His performance is so lifelike that tourists often can't tell he's a real person until he interacts with them, enhancing their experience.

However, he is mindful of his interactions, especially with the elderly and children, ensuring his movements are not too sudden or startling.
