STORYLINE:

As the Paris 2024 Olympics are about to begin, Georges Joseph N'Goan, president of the National Olympic Committee of Cote d'Ivoire, has extended an invitation for cooperation to the Chinese Olympic Committee, seeking to foster deeper exchanges.

"The sports cooperation between the two countries should be carried out through in-depth exchanges at the government level. As for the National Olympic Committee (of Cote d'Ivoire), we hope to strengthen ties and enhance exchanges with the Chinese Olympic Committee. This kind of communication at the national Olympic Committee level allows us to draw more experience from the Chinese sports field, so we very much hope to maintain close ties with the Chinese Olympic Committee."

The Olympic official also noted that previous cooperation between the two countries in the field of sports has been widely appreciated.
