A fire has reportedly broken out at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, with several passengers 'evacuated' onto tarmac.

The blaze reportedly broke out on an escalator in Terminal 8. One passenger posting video on X wrote - Reported fire at JFK terminal 8, whole terminal filled with smoke and evacuation with no explanation. He further writes I took this video at 7:09am Est. My flight was the 8:15am flight to Chicago, now delayed. We have been taken to a different terminal awaiting instruction

Something is happening in #JFK airport. We are not allowed to depart.
