Violent waves smash into harbour in China as Typhoon Gaemi approaches
This is the terrifying moment violent waves smashed into a harbour in China.
A restaurant staff member witnessed the storm surge flooding the shop as Typhoon Gaemi approached Guangxi, China, on July 23.
Footage shows the waters entering the establishment, causing chairs and tables to be nearly swept away.
Three people have been killed in Taiwan while 13 in neighbouring Philippines, where the typhoon first reached. Officials said at least 220 have been injured in Taiwan, with flights cancelled and schools and offices closed.
