On April 25, 2024, in Dalian, a coastal city in northeastern China's Liaoning province, a heartwarming scene unfolded in a local park. A child playing in the park encountered a Mallard duck that kept opening its mouth but couldn’t make any sound.

Demonstrating remarkable intelligence, the duck approached nearby people for assistance.

Compassionate elderly men and women in the park quickly came to its aid, eager to help the distressed animal.

According to Banyuetan’s report, a passerby pried open the duck’s mouth and found an object lodged in its throat. They took the duck to a nearby police station, and it was eventually sent to a veterinary hospital, where the foreign object, a steel ball, was successfully removed from its esophagus.
